3D SRO and ProCeas® for the H2S trace analysis in pyrolysis gas
Mr. Milan Celler, Sales Manager at 3D SRO, talks about his experience integrating AP2E products…
Can you introduce 3D SRO and your activity?
Milan Celler : We are located in Slovakia and create stable processes, ergonomic workplaces and a higher productivity with comprehensive solutions in the fields of automation, process analytics and industrial robotics. The automation of production processes and robotic workplaces with turnkey delivery is for example one of our core activities. Furthermore our portfolio includes process design, simulation, mechanical and electrical construction, installation, commissioning and the technical support. In addition, we offer the analysis of gaseous, liquid and solid samples in the production process for a variety of industries and technological processes. As Sales Manager, my job is to find the best possible solutions for our customers.
What led you to select the ProCeas® versus other analytical technologies?
M C: Analyzers based on the reaction of lead acetate with hydrogen sulfide have often been used to monitor low H2S concentrations in refinery gases. Because of the maintenance costs and environment conditions we were looking for another solution and made a choice for AP2E instrument ProCeas®. The system requires a minimum of maintenance, therefore the staff performs almost exclusively visual inspections and rarely cleans the filters on the sample preparation panel. Due to the wide spectrum composition of the pyrolysis gas, the choice of this device was the best solution that we could do in cooperation with the end user.
DIn which context does your end customer use the ProCeas®?
M C: The system commissioning in early 2020 was a part of a project at a petroleum refinery where the low water content and hydrogen sulfide traces has to be controlled in the pyrolysis gas. Process gas is taken of the process, flows via sample conditioning system into analyzers installed in the analyzer shelter realized by our company.
How the AP2E device is performing in the project?
M C : The hydrogen sulfide is monitored in two streams by ProCeas® analyzers: Instrument 1 has a measuring range of 0 – 50 ppm and instrument 2 of 0 – 1.000 ppm. The systems were installed on site by our technicians and then set up in close cooperation with the AP2E technicians and the end customer via remote internet access. Since that time the system is working properly and there was recognized no problem up today, no claim about any result from technology provider.
